Well, well, well......

I gave in last weekend! Poor planning on my part. After Maddie's softball tournament in Alvin on Sunday, we were all starving. Of course, I didn't even think I would go to the game that morning...so nothing was packed to snack on. Now, it's just time to get back on track.
Really, though, I think we are doing better than ever! While going through the checking account online, I was cringing at the number of times all of the fast food places popped up!!!
My exercise regimen is on track and that's a good thing. I generally don't stick with a program for very long. I know, that's SHOCKING, right?!? haha However, I think it may be time to step it up and add strength training three times a week. I will let you know how that goes.....

Seriously???

So, I believe I'm the only person I know who, after a full week of REAL exercise, puts on three pounds!!!! This happened last week, but seriously??? I also found out I'm allergic to exercise...I get sweaty, flushed, and my heart races. Next, who knows, I could have an anaphylactic reaction! heeheehee
However, I have persevered...I am officially down 5 lbs. My 30 day challenge is going well, also. Admittedly, the two days my middle daughter had softball practice were tough. It would have been sooooo easy to swing through a drive-thru! Prior to starting the blog, I had also given up cokes. I'm talking big fountain cokes all day. Is it any wonder I resembled the Stay-Puft Marshmallow man???? The first three days I wanted to bite someone's head off, now I don't even have a craving. I've had maybe half of a can here and there...they just don't taste the same. Endurance to the end.....whatever that may be! :)

30 Day Challenge for Myself!

So, today begins my inaugural 30 challenge just for me! (Feel free to join if you would like.) I've decided that there are things I really need to work on and every thirty days I will add something new.
This first thirty days is to go without fast food. Now, some may think, "That's no big deal." In this house, though, it is! Every spring I succumb to the golden arches, the bell, or the king (and not the one that I should be focused on). Softball and busy lives in general push me through the drive-thru line without a second thought to the waist line. Not to mention how sluggish everyone feels afterward. I'm going to just say NO to the dollar deals out there. Will it be more time consuming on my part? YES. More expensive? I don't know, we shall see. More rewarding? Absolutely!
Maybe by posting this out in cyberspace, I'll have more accountability for myself. Wish me luck!!!!
